Powerful combination to create the strongest medical education union ---The first AMEE education forum in China
Held by the first affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, AMEE and Sun Yat-sen Medical University, The first AMEE education forum in China was opened in the afternoon of March 16th. This was the first time AMEE held forum in China, which appealed to more than 500 experts from AMEE, Peking Xiehe hospital, the First Hospital of Peking University, Sun Yat-sen affiliated hospital of Fudan University, Huaxi hospital of Sichuan University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University and Xiangya Hospital of Zhongnan University.
The forum had been lasted for three days, which covered the presentation of leading problems and skills of medical education and discussion about how to solve the current problems that Chinese medical staff faced effectively.
Experts from AMEE and resident in China started heated discussions focusing on “Training Tomorrow's Doctors for China”in March 17th. They also shown audiences how to set medical education course and presented “PBL Workshop” on site.
The theme of conference is to share the latest progress and experience of skill learning. In the afternoon, the lecture“OSCE Workshop”was going successfully and two OSCE examination station were simulated on site. The experts answered participator’s questions to help them understand OSCE.
As the biggest clinical training base and the only international resident standardized training base in Guangdong, the first affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen University bear the task to cultivate residents, specialists and medical student. Master assisted to build the clinical center from arrangement and implementation of project to the selection and development of courses. In the future, Master is confident to support the further development of resident training.
